Once upon a time, there was a streetcar without wheels right in the center of Alpine. Pat Heyser of Alpine remembers it because it was her grandparents, Warren and Emma Foster, who bought that streetcar from a man named Sherman. Drug crash brings pot seizures to 13,000 pounds 
     Agents with Customs and Border Protection seized 551 pound of marijuana around 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, after a low speed chase that originated in Boulevard and ended in Campo. The white Ford truck was disguised as an SDG&E vehicle, said Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Dora Doyle, and was first observed moving south on Jewel Valley Road near the border...MORE
