It was pretty party time last Saturday when the Community Center Auxiliary staged the Silver Tea. Lovely ladies fashionably dressed for the occasion, some even wearing hats, strolled the boutique admiring and buying the original items offered by local women. Future dark for off-ramp, bright for overpass update
     Fans of getting a new off-ramp from Alpine Boulevard to I-8 may be in for a disappointment, according to report and discussion on local road plans at the Oct. 27 meeting of the Alpine Planning Group. The good news, however, is that the Tavern Road overpass will soon undergo some much-needed safety reconstruction...MORE

Airport forum to be held in Alpine
ALPINE - The Alpine Sun will co-host a forum in conjunction with  the San Diego County Airport Authority at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17  at the Alpine
Community Center. Joe Forlenza, an Alpine Planning Group member and columnist for The Alpine Sun, will serve as moderator for the event and airport authority officials will hear comments and answer questions.
