bears for hurricane's displaced children
The
Alpine Sun is the local drop-off point for
teddy bears, which organizers Rose Urdahl
and Rescue Task Force are collecting to
help provide cuddles and comfort to Hurricane
Katrina's displaced children. Urdahl has made a
project of collecting bears for children at
local hospitals for four years. The goal for
this project is to collect at least 3,000 teddy
bears. Bring as many new or like-new bears as
you wish to 2144 Alpine Blvd, between 8
a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For
further information, one may call Urdahl at
659-5769 (home) or 946-5603 (work). The
