It
was the social event of the year and featured 90
handsome older men dating beautiful — but very

Charter
school rumors wrong, staff says
Some
MEHS students and their teacher have raised
concerns about the recent focus on violence at
their school and made several serious
allegations regarding the Applied Sciences and
Technology Academy charter school in letters to The
Alpine Sun. Allegations include cheating at
the charter school, quality of education
received, and insistence that the credits earned

Chamber
of Commerce mayor's race yields $4,800
for local schools
ALPINE — The Alpine
Chamber of Commerce presented $4,800 to local
schools at the Alpine Unified School District
board meeting help Wednesday, Feb. 9. Six Alpine
school principals received checks on behalf of
their particular schools. The money was raised
through fundraising for the chamber’s third
