A. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION STATE OF PARKS
PRESENTATION: This
presentation reportedly showcases accomplishments, highlights
future plans and gives information
about funding sources, grant applications and other methods to
create park and recreation opportunities
for communities.
B. NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE
DECLARATION FOR TPM
20675RPL1, LOG NO. 02-21-004;DART MINOR SUBDIVISION, APN#
612-021-05: The project
proposes a minor subdivision of 33.46-acre parcel into three
lots resulting in two lots of 11.45 acres
and one lot of 10.56 acres gross. Two single-family residences
are proposed for parcels 1 & 2, and
general commercial use is proposed for parcel 3. The project is
located on the west side of
Ribbonwood Rd, immediately north of I-8. Comments on the Neg Dec
are due August 18.
6. OLD BUSINESS:
A .UPDATES ON THE FOLLOWING:
CAMPO LANDFILL: Currently awaiting release of
the Supplemental Environmental Impact
Statement.
2020 GENERAL PLAN: The July 28th hearing of the
County Planning Commission will review the
revisions to the Circulation Element and give direction on the
road network needed to support future
land use development within the unincorporated areas of the
County. Circulation Element report available
here.
WIND ENERGY PROPOSAL FOR LOCAL BLM LANDS: PPM
Energy is reportedly working on
plans to hold a public meeting in August (no date available) to
discuss their plans for local large scale
wind generation facilities in the area of McCain Valley, Table
Mtn and Shockey Truck Trail.
POTENTIAL NEW HIGH POWER TRANSMISSION LINES IN
BOULEVARD AREA: If and when
any new wind turbine facilities are approved in the area,
upgraded or new transmission lines and substations
will be required. This is separate from the proposed Sunrise
Powerlink. PPM Energy is now
reportedly asking local property owners for easements. Also, as
part of an ongoing proposal for federally
designated energy corridors, there is concern for the potential
for a second set of 500 KV lines
to use the existing easement for the 500 KV lines that run
through our area east to west south of I-8.
PROPOSED RATE HIKE FOR LIVE OAK SPRINGS WATER:
The Public Utilities Commission is
currently reviewing a proposed 470% rate hike as requested by
the current operator.
