The
public is welcome to the monthly meetings of the
Campo/Lake Morena Planning Group, which is the
County-sponsored link between the community and the
County dealing with planning and land use. Members
of the public will be given the opportunity to speak
regarding any item on the agenda. In addition,
during Public Discussion, members of the community
will be given the opportunity to address other matters
pertaining to groundwater issues in our area. No
action or vote may be taken on items not on the
agenda. The final agenda will be posted at the
Campo Post Office, Cameron Corners Market, La Posta
Diner and the Lake Morena Market 72 hours prior to the
meeting.

CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

On May 10, 06, the Board of Supervisors approved
“The Otay Watershed Management Plan”. It is a plan
involving San Diego County, Chula Vista, Imperial
Beach, San Diego and the Port of San Diego. Among
other things it will help protect water quality,
aquatic and upland resources. It will be useful to add
a copy of this document to our resource library.

A.
Referred by John Peterson, “Calif. Groundwater

Update from Jim Bennett on the County Groundwater
Study by Larry.

The Campo Kumeyaay Nation held a meeting at the Golden
Acorn on May 10, 06. The group is called the “Campo
Creek Source Basin task Force” and covers many
topics related to groundwater, the environment and
etc. on and off the reservation. Short summary of the
meeting. Mike Connolly.
