authorizes contract for Willows work
The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted
5-0 Nov. 15 to authorize the advertisement for bid
and subsequent award of a construction contract
for work to improve Willows Road and Viejas Grade
Road. The low responsible bidder will construct a
left turn pocket at the intersection of Willows
Road and Viejas Grade Road and shoulder

Peutz Valley residents make use of dead wood at
Jam
More than 30 Peutz Valley neighbors, and several
volunteers from the Alpine Revitalization effort,
gathered on Nov. 19 at Joe and Rita Sterling’s
property for the first ever “Peutz Valley Log
Jam.” The Log Jam had three goals: To turn a pile
of oak logs into as many useful items as possible;
do it in a safe and fun way; build community
relationships while building rustic amenities for
