Former Alpine police officer sentenced to work furlough
A former police officer who lived in Alpine and pleaded
guilty to four counts of having unlawful sexual intercourse with
a 17-year-old girl was sentenced Tuesday to one year in a work
furlough facility.

VFW honors POWs-MIAs and raises more than $2,600 for the
troops
Alpine’s VFW Bert Fuller Post 9578 celebrated a
commemoration of veterans this weekend by hosting both a
candlelight vigil honoring POWs-MIAs and a deep pit barbeque
charity fund raiser.
