Round ‘em up!
Thousands of local residents, and visitors from all over the state, gathered in Lake Morena last Saturday, May 5, to partake in the second annual Campo-Lake Morena Round Up. Much larger than it’s inaugural season, this year’s Round Up included a grand opening and parade led by event Grand Marshall Jean Bates, six different rodeo events to take part in, as well as various fun activities for children and adults, and nearly 40 vendor booths. Pictured here are two cowboys competing in the ranch roping event. Back Country residents gathered at the Eagle Wings Ranch in Lake Morena last weekend. Organized by the local business association the day-long event included rodeo competitions, the first annual Little Miss Roundup Pageant, and gunfight re-enactments by The Hole in the Wall Gang. Participants also took advantage of the various food vendors, Cow Chip toss, petting zoo, and miniature horse rides for children.
