Agricultural customers will be hardest hit by water shortages  
As Southern California dries out, and water officials preach conservation, agricultural customers will likely be the hardest hit my imposed water shortages. While the Interim Agricultural Water Program provides surplus Metropolitan Water District of Southern California supplies to agricultural customers at a discounted rate, the IAWP conditions allow for a reduction of up to 30 percent prior to implementing any mandatory reductions to municipal and industrial customers.

New owners of VIP World celebrate with grand re-opening
 VIP World, an Alpine business staple and children’s favorite, celebrated a change of ownership with a Grand Re-Opening party on Friday, Aug. 24. People stood in line to enjoy the trademark wares of VIP: Video, Ice Cream, and Pizza, and all three were in abundance at the lively neighborhood celebration.   

Visitors step back in time at Mount Laguna Living History event
The Laguna Mountain Volunteer Association Living History presented weekend mountaineers with a first hand view of what it was like to live in the 1800’s, traveling through the Laguna Mountains to hunt, trap, trek and live in the wilderness.
