Joan MacQueen & Los Coches Creek Future 8th grade parents fundraise your way to Washington, D.C. in 2009
ALPINE—Families and businesses alike have been affected by a slowdown in the economy and rising prices of just about everything. These are facts and this may be affecting your decision as to whether you can afford to send your child or be a chaperone on Holt Travel’s educational tour taking place over Spring Break on April 4 - 11.
This trip to D.C., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Amish Country, and New York City comes along only one time for 8th graders to participate with their classmates and to experience living history and to visit some incredible historical and famous sites.
Your kids cannot receive this kind of education in the classroom or otherwise create the kind of memories with you or their grandparents and classmates.
Because we feel that children should not have to miss out on this once in a lifetime trip, we are providing many fundraising opportunities to the students.
After registering with Holt Travel, JMMS future 8th graders can sell See’s Candy, Carl’s Jr. Coupon books, car wash coupons, work in the snack bar during the Little League tournament, tell family members about the E-scrip program, or fundraise on their own by recycling bottles and cans, etc. Please contact Dana de la Torre at 980-6679 or dkdlt@cox.net to apply. LCCMS future 8th graders and their parents can earn their way to D.C. by selling Dudley’s Bread, working at an Albertson’s BBQ tables, selling Sally Foster Wrapping Paper, turning in inkjet cartridges for recycling, by selling Gold C Coupon books, etc. You can contact Sue Clark at 985-6589 or lcc2dc@gmail.com for LCCMS fundraising information.
