Arrest and extradition is made in
“cold case” homicide

SAN DIEGO— A preliminary hearing has been set for July 13 in a 1995 murder case in which the body of a young woman was dumped not far from Kitchen Creek Road in Pine Valley. The woman’s husband was arrested last month in Nevada.
 

New Magnet School to Open in Alpine
Beginning in August 2010, there will be one more educational format in which students, parents and teachers may participate. This program will be seeking International Baccalaureate status by beginning the three-year process of certification.

Masses of garden and outdoor-lovers are expected to converge on Alpine this weekend for the 13th Annual Sage & Songbirds Festival.


Alpine Kiwanis Trailblazers
On April 24th, The Kiwanis Club of Alpine sent a Walking Team down to the Annual M.S. Walk at Liberty Station in Point Loma.  All of us left Alpine at 6:30 a.m. because parking is at a premium down there.
