Community planning at the APG
ALPINE — Alpine residents, businesses, organizations and local agencies are encouraged to attend Thursday's meeting of the Alpine Planning Group to see San Diego County's first draft of a preliminary engineering report that could change Alpine Boulevard.
County project managers will present a detailed study for pedestrian improvements for a targeted area bounded by parts of Alpine Boulevard, Arnold Way and Tavern Road.
The planning group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Alpine Community Center, 1830 Alpine Blvd.
Using information gathered over the past 25 years in Alpine, the purpose of the county study was to look at ways to create parkway zones, improve walking in the area, calm traffic and determine improvements needed to make intersections effective and safe.
