Meeting to focus on Powerlink’s impact
Business and property owners, tenants and
leasees along Alpine Boulevard are being urged to attend a
critical Alpine Town Hall Meeting this Thursday, Jan. 14, about
the impact of undergrounding Sunrise Powerlink electrical lines
in the community.
Planning Commission recommends updated road standards
Nearly eight months
after its initial hearing on updates to the County of San
Diego’s public road standards, the county’s Planning Commission
voted 7-0 in last month to adopt recommendations covering the
updated standards.

Two men who participated in smuggling
undocumented workers after a crash in the Back Country that
injured five people have been sentenced to 46 months and 24
months respectively on Jan. 5.
Alpine Kiwanis celebrates 59 years
The smell of juicy steak wafted from the Alpine Elementary
School Auditorium on Saturday morning, Jan. 2, as Alpine Kiwanis
members enjoyed a breakfast of steak and eggs, celebrating the
club’s 59th birthday.
