ALPINE--Tom Pellegrino, coming in from
Cardiff School District was introduced as our new Alpine Union
School District Superintendent, to begin officially this summer.
Pellegrino is excited to begin work here in our
district despite our current financial hardship. He acknowledged
current Superintendent Greg Ryan’s hard work and success in this
financially stressful time, saying that Ryan has handled these
hardships admirably.
Pellegrino showed an encouraging and fresh outlook as he spoke
of his career thus far, and he was visibly excited to be in
Alpine.
Pelligrino comes from a smaller district than Alpine,as
he was hired by the Cardiff School District in 2007, as their
Superintendent. Before this appointment, Pellegrino served as
the curriculum instruction and assessment coordinator for
Bonsall schools and principal of Bonsall Elementary School West.
As a Superintendent for Cardiff School District, Pellegrino
headed up a district containing two elementary schools, Ada
Harris, and Cardiff Elementary.
