A great way to end the summer holiday is to throw the biggest bash in the community! On Labor Day Sunday, after the 10:00 mass, Our Lady of Light Catholic Church celebrates with a deep pit barbeque that rivals none other.
Hundreds of people showed up to enjoy the shopping, music, dancing, games, desserts and most of all the 1,200 lbs. of barbeque beef served up with a special recipe of baked beans. This tradition has been kept year after year, beginning as a wedding celebration back in 1937, and continuing as a church barbeque that grew into an event that everyone waits for annually!
