Last Saturday Diane Cartwright stood amid the burned interior of her home. While the West Fire left her house on Scenic View Road standing, the inside was severely damaged. “They heard the flames,” said Kara Cartwright, speaking of her parents. “My parents got married in this house. They brought me home from the hospital to this house,” Kara said as the family assessed what was left among the ashes and charred debris.
