Qigong Class
Qigong Class
Qigong, (chee gung), is a slow-motion, meditative exercise promoting overall health and well being. Similar to T’ai Chi, Qigong utilizes flowing, easily learned movements and breathing to improve the health and harmony of body, mind, and spirit. Anyone, of any age or physical condition can participate!
Performing Qigong activates, circulates, and balances the “qi” (chee or key) life force energy - the same energy affected by acupuncture. Stagnant or blocked energy is moved, cleansed, and strengthened. Common benefits of Qigong practiced regularly include:: Increased ability to relax and reduce stress, Enhanced immune system function, Activation of the body’s own healing mechanisms, Better balance and leg strength, More energy and vitality, and more.
Certified instructor Chris Endres has been teaching Qigong since 1995, and is currently teaching for Grossmont Adult Education. You can visit her website at www.chrisendreshealing.com.
